The Artist
Painting moments that remain.
I am an artist drawn to the quiet beauty of landscapes, light, atmosphere and fleeting moments.
Watercolour is my primary medium and the one I feel most connected to. I enjoy its spontaneity, transparency and unpredictability — the way pigment meets water, colours merge, edges soften, and a painting can develop a life of its own.
Alongside watercolour, I also work in oil and acrylic, exploring the different qualities and possibilities each medium offers. While each has its own language, my interest remains the same: observing the world around me and translating moments, moods and memories into paintings.
For me, painting is not simply about reproducing what I see. It is about capturing something that might otherwise disappear — a particular quality of light, the atmosphere of a place, or a fleeting moment that stays with us long after it has passed.
I am especially drawn to the balance between intention and spontaneity. I may begin with an idea of where a painting is going, but I allow the medium to influence the journey. This is perhaps what I enjoy most about watercolour: it demands a certain degree of surrender.
My work explores landscapes, light, atmosphere and the quiet moments that may last only seconds in reality, but can remain with us for years.
I hope my paintings encourage you to pause, look a little longer, and perhaps discover a memory or feeling of your own within them.
